Meet Sharon Salt

I’m a fibre artist based in the Staffordshire Moorlands, and use the technique of ‘needle felting’ to create my sculptures and pictures. I work with raw fleece [un-spun wool] and a barbed needle in place of paint and a brush! And my favourite ‘canvas’ is an up-cycled piece of wool tweed. My love of dogs, and especially wire haired terriers, shines through in much of my work, and my own two never fail to inspire me.
